THE ROLE The Processing Technician position will work within the agency on a variety of clerical tasks to help the agency meet its mission and statutory obligations.
The selected candidate will work with employees from other state agencies, claimants, attorneys, and insurance representatives on processing functions.
They will determine if incoming administrative and legal forms and correspondence are accurate, complete, and conform to the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Act.
ABOUT US The WCC administers the workers’ compensation laws of the State of Connecticut with the ultimate goal of ensuring that workers injured on the job receive prompt payment of lost work time benefits and attendant medical expenses.
To this end, the Commission facilitates voluntary agreements, adjudicates disputes, makes findings and awards, hears and rules on appeals, and closes out cases through full and final stipulated settlements. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1 / 2) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years.
